Peter Schattenfield, Managing Partner

Peter Schattenfield

Peter contributes 25 years of property management and financial expertise to Turning Point Estate Services, LLC. Commencing his career as a Litigation Aid for a Washington, D.C. based law firm, he then joined a team to supervise household operations for a prominent Connecticut family. In this role, he gained property management and project oversight skills. Peter subsequently managed portfolio operations for the family’s investment funds, developing expertise in macroeconomics and asset allocation strategies. He created a screening model to capitalize on thrift savings bank mutual-to-stock conversions, based on analysis of influential factors in local real estate markets.

Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland and earned the Certified Financial Planner designation in 1989. He has been a resident of Connecticut since 1987, and currently lives in Wilton, CT. He is married and the father of two children.

Michael Magyar, Managing Partner

Michael Magyar

Michael’s career comprises 18 years in the real estate industry, including residential construction management and project oversight. He brings valuable experience in all facets of the field, including appraisal, development, sales and marketing, property management and maintenance. His broad knowledge of the real estate marketplace includes an understanding of local governmental regulatory operations as well as an in-depth understanding of current market trends.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Hamilton College. He is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser, licensed Real Estate Broker, and member of the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers, Greenwich Board of Realtors, Greenwich Multiple Listing Service, Connecticut Board of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors. Prior to recently relocating, he was a longtime resident of Greenwich, CT. Michael is married and the father of twin boys.

Gary Ferrari, Managing Partner

Gary Ferrari

With more than 30 years of professional experience prior to co-founding Turning Point Estate Services, LLC, Gary honed his project management and home restoration, renovation, and improvement skills as a carpenter and general contractor. After making the transition to mortgage banking, he advanced from Loan Officer to Senior Vice President of Mid-Atlantic Sales and Operations for a major lending institution. He managed the growth of the company from 12 employees to more than 350, while increasing sales to more than $5 billion. Gary oversaw company-wide lease negotiations and supervised design and construction build-outs, including the corporate office. He also possesses extensive knowledge of residential property valuation and risk trends for both retail and wholesale lending.

Gary has been a resident of the Connecticut and New York metro area since 1971 and currently resides in Riverside, CT. He is the father of two children and the proud grandfather of four.
